It was a pleasure working with Christian Cowan! Christian’s display of professionalism and integrity was apparent to us upon meeting with him for the first time. Christian is detail-oriented and helpful as he informed us of his credentials, building background, building materials used along with the benefits of using them. This put us at ease because we knew Christian was considering the customer in every aspect of his work. Christian maintained ongoing communication with us throughout the building process and was actively involved in helping us evaluate customization options within our budget. It was a genuine pleasure to meet Christian and have him build our home. We first met him at a showing for one of his other houses and made plans to build this one down the street. Building is a time consuming process; it can be a super stressful event. Christian was extremely helpful in going through every aspect of the building process. He met routinely with us, providing us the opportunity to pick out even the smallest details. He met daily with his contractors, provided estimates (which were very accurate), overcame any unforeseen obstacles, and kept our project on track. If you are looking for a quality-built home for a reasonable price by a reputable builder then look no further. I have been in my home in Cowan Creek 2 ½ years and have thoroughly enjoyed the home and neighborhood. Christian not only builds quality but stands behind it. He personally addressed concerns and questions that I had following move in, and he provides a detailed portfolio of the home listing all the warranties and contacts should have a need to use them.
I hope this will be my “forever home”, however, should I need to move again, I would definitely look to Christian first.

We just completed our dream home with Christian’s help in August 2018. Although building can be a stressful process, having Christian as our Builder minimized our stress because we knew he had our best interest at heart. Christian communicated with us on a daily basis so we always knew what was going on. He answered all of our many questions promptly and honestly. The subcontractors he used were held to a high level of professionalism and he expects quality workmanship on every job. Our home was completed on time and under budget, even considering the curve balls that were thrown at us by Mother Nature. Needless to say, we love our new home and are very thankful for the relationship we have with Christian.

A little over a year ago my husband and I decided it was time to buy a new house since we had outgrown our current home. As we looked at listings online and walked through open houses, it became clear that we had differing visions of our ideal house- very frustrating. We did not consider building because I assumed it was much more expensive. Then it happened- we walked into one of Christian’s homes and we were both sold instantly. The only problem, it was above our budget and we weren’t prepared to make an offer right then. I contacted Christian and told him we really liked the house, but the timing wasn’t right to buy it… and asked if he was building another one with the same floor plan. He met with us in the house and let us know that we could build the exact floor plan on another lot, customized, for roughly the same price as the built house! Christian assisted us as we looked for a lot to make sure the plan fit well, he met with me and the designer as I made adjustments to the plan (added a 5th bedroom and large screened porch). He accurately estimated changes that would increase the budget or save us money. Christian stayed in communication with us months before we were ready to build. By the time we poured the foundation he knew our vision as well as we did! I cannot say enough about Christian’s excellent communication throughout this whole process. Any unresolved decisions were brought to my attention in advance. If anything was not done properly by the subs (a flickering shower light or a brick that dented the front door) Christian informed me of the issue and made it right. I am particular when it comes to craft and details. We have been in the house for 2 months now and we love it more each day.
We were warned by others about the stress of building your own home. Not true… they just didn’t have Christian.

When we started to think about building our new home we our first thought was to have Randy Berg build it, since he had built the home we were currently in. We spoke with Randy he advised us that he was about to retire, but he would turn us over to Christian Cowan, his very capable son-in-law.

Could not be any happier with our house. I think the master bath is still my favorite room in the house. I still catch myself walking and thinking “holy crap this is mine”. Christian is awesome. So many days during the building process I found him at our house filling in holes or scooping dirt off the road after a heavy rain. Even asked if he did anything in Madison for a friend of mine at work. Don’t know of anyone I would rather work with on a house. We had lived in Columbus and were looking to relocate near Flowood to be closer to our grandchildren. We had been looking at new and older homes for over a year. The homes that we kept coming back to were homes that Christian Cowan had built. We liked the design, features and attention to detail that were used in his homes. We decided on the type home we liked and started the build process in the Cowan Creek Development. Christian worked with us during every step of the build, keeping us advised in advance when decisions on paint, flooring, etc. were needed. Christian never rushed us during this process and was very helpful to us when making these decisions. The contractors Christian used were friendly and experience in their craft and were never too busy to answer questions during the build. We enjoyed the whole experience and would highly recommend Christian and his team to anyone looking to build. A final note and one that I feel is very important was the few small items that needed attention after we moved in were handled in a timely manner and always to our satisfaction. David and I had lived In an apartment for five years and decided we wanted a home. Looked at a lot of homes new and old. Our home was already built by Christian but when I saw the home I feel in love with it and told David if we were going to get a home this is the one I wanted. Christian made everything easy for us. He was always available if we had questions prior to buying the home and even since. He even came over and changed a battery in one of my fire alarms in the kitchen due to the tall ceiling. What other builder would do that.

When we started looking for a house, we were determined that we were not going build. However, after a year of searching for the “perfect” home, we realized we weren’t going to find what we wanted unless we did.
